I do not understand why your complaining about it when this is exactly what was in the novel itself was about they are following the source material . If you cannot deal with the fact she is the angel god and he is the sea god then just stop watching it because she is pretty much a key point of the story until the end of the first book. She will be gone in a few episodes and then back again later .

whether its in the novel or not is irrelevant.. i can understand why ppl are upset... 1. angel chick is not a proper villain .... not enough screen time to be final boss therefor audience cant relate to her character 2 when she did get her time it was boring and nobody cared about a characters test struggles they hardly remember in the series 3. a lot of people dropped this or have been massively disappointed at how the series has been going the last 6-10 months ( covid is no excuse ) 4. to me they are showing all these godhood abilities trying to wow the audience but its wasted on a character nobody cares about... they want to see the mc introduce these abilities the most.... ofc a mc would need a worthy opponent. although unworthy its angel chick....

You made really bad example. As far as novel adaptation goes, this one is horrible. Novel is barely 400+ short chapters. When you make such short content into almost 300/20 minute episodes, it is bound to be boring as shit. This is almost as bad as Goku-Freeza fight.

Take Wu Shen Zhu Zai, 3 minute per episode and they advance 2-3 chapters (quite a bit longer chapters) which makes it proper pacing. This one takes 16 minutes to cover barely 1 short chapter.

Well this is a multiple book story so having 400 chapters for the first book isn't that bad. The soul land aspect has over 4 books alone then there are other MC and other stories that are linked to the same universe which soul land is from. I think many would be surprised if they knew exactly how big this universe that soul land is part of. I do agree though they did drag out the episodes. They would have been better if followed similar Chinese works and gone with a 10 min format. They also omitted some back story especially when got into this arc. I guess the main reason I made the comment is that it's getting a little repetitive seeing the same complaint over and over from the same people hence why i stated they are following the novel and the angel isn't going away.

The reason Tang Sang didn't became a God yet is because he has 2 soul weapons the blue silver plant and the sky hammer, he need both of them to have 9 rings to make him stronger even after he becomes a god but the angel girl she doesn't deserve the title of God she had to finish her last trial fighting Tang Sang while he still absorbing 3 spirit rings at once and he wasn't fully recovered after that and wasn't one of her trials about mercy/forgiveness on her enemy, like WTF

Honestly the people whining about the angel arc should stop already it is actually part of the first novel it is not made up for the anime. The reason Tang San is not yet a god is because unlike her who basically had it handed to her with her grandfathers rings he has to fill his hammer rings up and he also needs to finish his sea god trial which he has not done yet.

i feel the same about complaints that aint warranted however sometime the complaints are justifiable and the way the series been for the last year they are justifiable..... this use to be my favorite donghua and first to watch every week.... within the last year it has become the last one on the list to watch hoping that the team responsible gets things back the way it use to be..... last 2 ep's have been great and i am hoping they continue in the same manner

I suppose that's a good reason for the difference in the gods strength, it's clear to me anyway that the angel is the weakest by a decent margin compared to the other gods we've seen. Though that's just me trying to justify the cake walk that was the angel trials, compared to Tang San and his Grandfather's trials.

Did Renxue even have a mental battle, she gave in to her dark side or whatever multiple times no? She was a rollercoaster of emotions the entire time during the trials and still passed it with flying colours.
